About Natalie Lynn Lichtenbert

Natalie Lynn Lichtenbert is a sustainability professional, wildlife advocate, and founder of Green Dolphin Project Global, dedicated to bridging the gap between conservation science and everyday consumer behavior. Based in Illinois, her work focuses on one of the most urgent and overlooked global crises: the illegal wildlife trade—and the role everyday purchasing decisions play in fueling or stopping it.

From an early age, Natalie was drawn to animals, storytelling, and the natural world. That connection evolved into a lifelong pursuit of understanding how humans interact with wildlife—not just in remote ecosystems, but in daily life through products, experiences, and global supply chains. What began as curiosity grew into a mission: to make conservation accessible, actionable, and impossible to ignore.

Natalie earned her degree in environmental studies and built her career at the intersection of sustainability, education, and public engagement. Through her professional work—including her role at Brookfield Zoo—she has contributed to conservation initiatives, public education, and the development of programs that connect people directly to the impact of biodiversity loss.

Over the years, Natalie has traveled extensively, documenting wildlife, ecosystems, and human-wildlife interactions through photography and field experiences. Her work captures both the beauty of the natural world and the complex realities it faces—poaching, habitat loss, and exploitation driven by global demand. These experiences continue to shape her perspective and fuel her commitment to change.

As the founder of Green Dolphin Project Global, Natalie is building a platform designed to turn awareness into action. Her work includes developing Wild Aware, a consumer-facing app that empowers individuals to identify wildlife-linked products, make informed purchasing decisions, and actively report potential wildlife trafficking. The platform represents a new model for conservation—one that places power directly in the hands of consumers.

In addition to her field and project work, Natalie is an emerging public speaker, using her voice to challenge how businesses, consumers, and institutions think about sustainability. Her talks focus on the hidden connections between everyday choices and global biodiversity, offering practical ways individuals and organizations can become part of the solution.

Natalie’s mission is simple but urgent:
to expose the unseen drivers of wildlife exploitation,
to empower people with knowledge,
and to create a future where conservation is not a niche concern—but a global standard.

Through her work, she is redefining what it means to be a conservationist in the modern world—not just studying wildlife, but protecting it through awareness, innovation, and action.
